Tom Epley | Chairman & Chief Executive Officer

For more than thirty years, Epley served as the general manager, president, CEO, and/or chairman of more than a dozen corporations, divisions, or subsidiaries with revenues typically in the hundreds of millions, but ranging up to $2 billion spanning a variety of industries.

Companies Epley has managed include: Technicolor (DVDs, videocassettes, film); Cuno (filtration equipment); Potter and Brumfield (electrical relays); Bekins (household-good moving, storage, records management); AMI (mixed-signal semiconductors); Phosphorous Chemicals Group FMC Corp. (commodity chemicals); Specialty Chemicals Group FMC (specialty chemicals, consumer products); Paradyne (modems, network devices); Globespan (DSL high-speed modems); Bolens (snowmobiles); and Northern Ordnance (defense systems).

Tom Epley received his BSME in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Cincinnati and his MBA at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. He is a member of the Board of Governors and the Executive Committee at UCLA’s Anderson Graduate School of Management and a member of the Board of Trustees at the Frederick S. Pardee RAND Graduate School in Policy Analysis.

Ramesh Ramchandani

Ramesh Ramchandani | President

Ramesh Ramchandani, brings over 20 years of high-tech management experience. Having worked in both large and small organizations, he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the power management and RF communications. He has managed large global organizations achieving organizational success in the areas of technology and product development, operations, marketing, and sales, he has been instrumental in driving strategic partnerships with global Fortune 500 companies. His recent positions include VP & GM of ON Semiconductor (a $2.5B spin off from Motorola), Executive Vice President of ZiLOG, and President & COO of InPlay Technologies. He also serves on the Board of VSOLAY and DemosOnDemand, and he is Vice Chairman of NXVT Group (a private equity company).

Mr. Ramchandani holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from San Jose State University and an MBA from Cornell University. He served on the Executive Board of TiE, an entrepreneurial group dealing in venture capital markets. He is also a Board Member of the Dean’s Advisory Council for the School of Engineering at Arizona State University.

Gary B. Joyce

Gary B. Joyce | Interim Chief Financial Officer

Prior to joining Vance Street in 2009, Gary served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Technicolor, a worldwide group of companies providing services to the entertainment, software and gaming industries. Prior to Technicolor, Gary worked for Carlton Communications PLC in London, England.

Gary began his career in finance at Ford Motor Company and is a member of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants in England.

Iftikhar Ahmed

Iftikhar Ahmed | Chief Technology Officer

Dr Iftikhar Ahmed is a Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Semicoa. Prior to Semicoa, he worked at Radiation Assured Devices Inc. between 2008 and 2009 and then briefly as a consultant at Vance Street Capital before their acquisition of Semicoa in 2009. Prior to 2008, he worked for Microsemi at its Garden Grove facility prior to its acquisition of Semicoa in 2008. He joined International Rectifier as project leader in 1994 to qualify and release its Fab-2 operation as a high volume MOSFET and IGBT linear manufacturing facility. In 1995 he joined International Rectifier full time as Project Manager to develop IGBT and FRED product lines and later managed Fab-3 & Fab-5 engineering activities while running the R&D pilot line. He was involved with technology transfer to the UK and the development of power integrated circuits as Engineering Manager of Fab-3. He also managed the Fab 5 development of trench and planar MOSFET and GaN based MESFET technologies. He filed one dozen patents at IR while working on 600 and 1200 Volts power IC development as Engineering and Project Manager between 2001 and 2004. Dr. Ahmed has worked for Xerox Corporation at its El Segundo Microelectronics facility as Fab manager, facility’s manager and senior member of the technical staff between 1986 and 1994. While at Xerox, he filed several patents on high voltage NMOS and high voltage Integrated Circuit devices. He has been involved in several technology startups and has broad knowledge and understanding of all core semiconductor technologies.

John Park

John Park | Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing

John brings has more than 30 years of global sales and marketing experience to SEMICOA.  He has built an impressive record of developing and implementing successful sales and marketing programs that grow the top line. Prior to SEMICOA, John was vice president of sales and marketing for Samsung Semiconductor.   He has also provided strategic leadership to broad range of Fortune 500 companies including General Electric and Texas Instruments. He is adept at managing and motivating teams to successfully expand sales and build strong, long lasting customer relationships that drive growth and profitability.
